Sealings and Blessings

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Utah. While we were there, we had the incredible honor to attend the sealing of two of our very good friends in the Salt Lake Temple. It was so amazing to be there, in the Sealing Room, watching our friends become married for time and all eternity, not just "until death do you part." It was especially touching because they are currently expecting their first child and they are both so happy that this child will be born into an eternal family right from the start.

The other great thing that we were reminded of while in the temple was the fact that not just married couples are sealed in the Temple; whole families are sealed together there. It is such a blessing for us to know that Heavenly Father loves His children enough to provide a way that our earthly families can be made into eternal ones. For us, this is so important because some day, our children will come to us through Adoption, but this does not mean that our family will only be a temporary, earthly one. No - our loving Father in Heaven has already provided a way for our family to also be an eternal one, and for that we are eternally grateful. When that little spirit makes its way into our lives, it will have a home with us forever. And that is a blessing truly beyond description.
